I love working with musicians, especially when they have an album as hot as this one.... (I got a sneak preview at the shoot:) Jazzy has been around on the underground scene for a while, but she is vastly approaching her rise to stardom. This is a behind the scenes look at her photo shoot with photographer Tyrone of http://www.tadimages.com/, celebrity hair stylist Rai Bonner, and the dopest fashion stylist I've EVER worked with Ms. Love Collins. Way to go guys, I think she may be ready for her close up!

Looking good for less takes on a new meaning...
Myself, along with a few other make up artist friends team up with The Los Angeles Urban League Business and Career Work Source Center
(a non-profit funded by LA County and City Workforce Investment Boards.)
Looking your best for an interview can seem expensive, especially when you actually need the job to be able to afford the look you want. At least that’s what I used to think, before having to speak face to face with those less fortunate than me about such preparation. I was invited to speak to a group of LA job seekers about proper make up for an interview. Excited and prepared to show them the usual, I pulled out my kit...
To enable minorities to secure economic self-reliance, parity, power and civil rights through advocacy activities; utilizing the provision of programs and services in our uniquely diversified city and region to do so.

Kissable Couture.......I can't get enough!
Working with clients like Estelle, Letoya Luckett, and Fergie, he has surely been keeping busy. A little over 2 years ago, he partnered up with his client/friend Keisha Nash Whitaker, wife of Forest Whitaker to make his dream a reality, and I couldn't be more proud of him:) Make sure you pick up a gloss soon, because they are a real treat. $22

Actor Ronreaco Lee.......up close and personal

He is a really down-to-earth, southern dude from ATL, and we had such a fun time shooting.

Congrats to him and his recent engagement to his longtime girlfriend! He planned out everything perfectly, and I got all the details:) Ladies, there are still some men out there who believe in the real thing, and they go after it!

No news, is good news.....like the old saying goes!
Not to mention, providing the backstage beauty support to the fashion school, FIDM, as they shot their product commercial for the 2009 design graduates. To top it all off, during Grammy Awards week, Essence Magazine invited us out to provide make overs for an event sponsored by Toyota. Needless, to say we have been very busy!!

Janelle Monae is such a sweet spirit, and a pleasure to work with. She is even more cute and doll-like in person:) Congrats to her for her nomination! My clients are the truth...

Lollipop Artistry launches in Los Angeles...

Hey all, I haven't been blogging in a while because my fellow make up artist friend, Cc Moten, and I started a company called Lollipop Artistry for all you artists out there. We needed a creative outlet and a way to not be controlled by job after job, or agencies, or whatever keeps us waiting on that check, and at times compromising our talents. We are building an artist community and network for those fabulous people behind the scenes. If you are one of them, and even if you're not, please check it out!
