Vivica Fox meets Obama!!

Yes, that's right! Vivica Fox among other celebrity guests and Obama supporters had breakfast with the President in Los Angeles last week. Her look for this encounter was definitely important to her, so she enlisted the assistance of myself and her hairstylist, Dr. Boogie to get her glammed up for the big moment!

Her dress was pretty conservative, so we wanted to keep the make up and hair clean and classic...dolling her up First Lady style.  Also, since she's rocking the short cut, her face had to make a statement all it's own.  I just kept the make up natural, while playing up the eyes with Stila Black Liner in Kajal, and my favorite lash, the Demi Wispies.  The blush a mixture of MAC Raisin and NARS Deep Throat. The lip color is MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme in 'Love Forever' with a little gold gloss in the pout! We loved this look, and hopefully Obama did too!

Stacey...in a dash:)

Stacey Dash is keeping herself busy these days, so that means I am too! Here's a quick look at what she's doing...We were shooting the other day and I gave her a light day makeup look that was natural and that would last all day. All I had to keep touching up was her lips and her blush as she loves color in her face. We spent most of the time outside, so the look was very fresh and dewy. Check out some behind the scenes shots of our fun day.
Check out the pants:)
Her favorite lip color right now is Chanel's Coquette. It provides her the color she needs in a sheer form, so it just looks like a natural mouth. It's a great color for the summer, with a dab of YSL Golden Gloss in the pout:) xo

Face Time...

Eboni is one of my favorite faces to do, and I've blogged about her so much, that I'm sure you already know. Lol! She just let's me go there, she sits there for an hour or more and I just paint. She hardly ever looks in the mirror because she trusts me that much. This look was one I adored and I will do it again on her for sure! We started with a clean face, that I primed with Murad's Skin Perfecting Primer. Then I started working on the brows (you know that's my thing). Once her brows were done, I covered the entire lid with concealer, then a MAC eye paint in Bamboo. I used YSL Ombre Solo in Iceberg White on her lid, and blended it out with MAC shadow colors Coquette and Swiss Chocolate. I then lined her lid with black liquid liner. I didn't use anything in her water line as to make her eye appear bigger. I smudged a little of the white eyeshadow under her bottom lashes before I applied the bottom false lash.
Once her eyes were done, I started on her skin. I took a very deep brown foundation and marked where I wanted to contour. I had already highlighted the high points of her face with a yellow based concealer, so adding the darker color was easy. I always use a blush type of brush to buff the foundation onto the skin, so the face has an airbrushed look. I then go back over my contour with powder, and add blush to the apple of the cheeks. Her lip color is MAC Pink Plaid with a plum liner.
Contour lines in place before foundation is applied.
Everything should be subtle once blended.
She is a performer naturally, so she always gives great face. This look was inspired from her wanting bottom lashes, so I went from there! Thanks for the FACE TIME Eboni:) xoxo

Angell Conwell classic beauty...

Actress Angell Conwell and I go way back. You've seen her in movies like 'Soul Plane', 'Baby Boy', 'The Wash', and most recently on Young & The Restless. She was one of my clients when I used to do fashion styling, and we've been bumping into each other for years now. This last "bump into" at a mutual friend's house gathering we talked makeup, and now we're working together again:) I love Angell's face shape, and her skin is gorgeous, so I was excited to get the opportunity!
Angell was attending an event for Nylon Magazine and she wanted her makeup to  pop on the red carpet...and you know I love makeup that pops!! We went for a classic look on the eyes with a bold lip, and I used my favorite Lip Tar stain from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics. Her look rocked that night as you can see.

Angell has a new series called "Family Time" that will launch June 18th on Bounce TV, co-starring Omar Gooding. Keep an eye out for it, it's sure to have you laughing! I have a few more projects coming up with Angell, so stay tuned for more makeup looks! xo

Stacey Dash goes MOD...

Stacey and I always do a natural look on her, but this occasion required a little something special! Stacey's longtime friend, Martyn Bullard, just happens to be LA's top interior designer and host of Bravo's hit show, Million Dollar Decorators. Who better to makeover Stacey's home but someone who knows her best?? This episode was Stacey's first time seeing her home in weeks....they've been working on the design day and night...now comes the big reveal! She was in for a surprise, and she wanted to look fabulous as the unveiling took place. The dress she chose was very 60's inspired, but still very modern, so we decided to go with a MOD look for the makeup! Winged out liner, pale pink lips, and hair to match. Check out some of the shots I took behind the scenes to get an idea.

I couldn't take too many pics because the show has yet to air, but I will say that Martyn Bullard is super talented and his client's have named him LA's top designer for a reason. Stacey's home looked beautiful and it suits her style perfectly! Keep watching Bravo to see it for yourself:)
